“You’ll find someone better.”

If you think about it, logically this would mean you will never find someone who’s the “best.” Every time your time with someone ends, someone will tell you there’s someone better. So, every time you’re with someone, there’s always going to be someone better and you’re going to count on finding that better someone.

Perhaps the whole point isn’t to find the better someone. I mean, if everyone counted on finding the perfect someone, marriage would be so damn rare. We lived in a fucked up world with some fucked up people. Why is it fucked up? Because it’s full of humans who are full of imperfections, prone to mistakes, and stuck in a shitty generation.

Is there anything truly wrong about someone who isn’t perfect? It’s the imperfections and the things that are different about one person to another that really makes them stand out anyways. It’s those characteristic and physical flaws that you’ll remember at the end of the day that remind you that this is the person who’s unique and those flaws are why you aren’t with someone else instead.

So, maybe you should stop looking for someone better. There’s no such thing as perfection. You don’t need to find someone flawless to make you feel better about yourself, you just need to find someone just right to tolerate your own fucked up self to support each other in this fucked up world.
